Hearthstones are magical stones that form in the heart of a manse. While hearthstone magic items do not require attunement, they do require the use of a free hand to make use of under normal circumstances. As with weapons, shields, and spell focuses, you need to use an object interaction in order to draw or store a hearthstone.

Certain magic items may have hearthstone sockets, allowing you to gain a hearthstone's benefit without using another free hand.
