Each creature in the mist when it appears, or when it moves into the mist for the first time on a turn or ends its turn there, must succeed on a Charisma saving throw or be filled with deep melancholy until the end of its next turn. An affected creature's speed is halved, it has disadvantage on attack rolls, and it subtracts 1d8 from all its damage rolls.
