Waterdeep:Xanathar Guild

The Xanathar Guild (ZAN-ah-thar) is not a guild, according to the laws of Waterdeep. After all, thieves' guilds are illegal. Anyone can join, however doing so requires perpetrating a serious crime first. There is little knowledge and much speculation about the nature and identity of the guild's leader, Xanathar.

An initiate to the Xanathar Guild is an Eyestalker. At rank 2 they become an Agent of the Eye. At rank 3 they become an Eye Ray. At rank 4 they become a Guild Boss. At rank 5 they become a Hand of the Eye.

• The Xanathar, the enigmatic leader of the organization; few have ever seen them face-to-face to even know what race they are
• Ahmaergo, the Xanathar's dwarf majordomo
• Nihiloor, a mind flayer allied with the Guild
• Noska Ur'gray, a Xanathar enforcer whose missing left hand is replaced with a crossbow
• Ott Steeltoes, Sylgar's caretaker
• Sylgar, the Xanathar's pet goldfish who has had a suspiciously large number of birthdays
• Sundeth, a half-ogre who ran Skull Island (deceased)
