Homebrew:Hearthstone Compass

Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement)

As an action, you may cause the compass to manifest a glowing arrow which always points towards the nearest manse. Each compass has a unique sequence of pressure plates which can be pressed to reveal a hidden hearthstone socket inside. (You can discover this sequence with an Intelligence (ArcanaIntelligence (Arcana)skillYour Intelligence (Arcana) check measures your ability to recall lore about spells, magic items, eldritch symbols, magical traditions, the planes of existence, and the inhabitants of those planes.) check DC 15.) Placing a hearthstone in the socket will cause the compass to point towards the manse that the hearthstone came from.
