The Xanathar Guild is not a guild, according to the laws of Waterdeep. After all, thieves' guilds are illegal. Anyone can join, however doing so requires perpetrating a serious crime first. There is little knowledge and much speculation about the nature and identity of the guild's leader, Xanathar.

An initiate to the Xanathar Guild is an Eyestalker. At rank 3 they become an Agent of the Eye. At rank 10 they become an Eye Ray. At rank 25 they become a Guild Boss. At rank 50 they become a Hand of the Eye.
