Message in a Bottle:Landfall base

Landfall base is the base of operations where Forerunner first biofabricates the Expedition Team. This is not the first structure Foreruner has built on the planet, but it is the first place the players will see. Landfall base is not built to be an everlasting bastion, a fortress, nor even the seed for the colony to be built. It is concealed underground, but the Expedition Team will eventually need to claim new territory to settle on.

First floor

The first floor only consists of the hangar where the parabolic jumpers and any other vehicles which Forerunner fabricates are kept, along with any supplies needed for maintenance of those vehicles. The hangar door opens to the outside, but it is expertly camouflaged while closed.

There is a freight elevator and stairwell leading down from the hangar to the second floor of the base.

Second floor

The second floor contains mostly rooms used for off-duty hours. Living quarters, recreation areas, a dining area, and a gym are all located here. The second floor also contains a conference room where the Expedition Team can meet and plan, a security office and small brig should it prove necessary, and the biology lab. The generator which acts as the primary power supply for the base is also located on this floor.

The second floor does have exterior access (camouflaged from the outside as with the hangar door), if the Expedition Team should wish to leave the base without needing a vehicle.

There is a freight elevator and stairwell leading up from the second floor to the hangar. There are three stairwells leading down from the second floor to the third floor of the base.

Third floor

The third floor contains more work areas than the second floor. The astronomy, geology, and botany labs are located here, along with hydroponics and the medical bay should any member of the Expedition Team suffer injury. The primary armory is also located here (smaller secondary weapon stores are located on the first and second floors as well), next to the firing range. Fabrication and biofabrication units are located on this floor, as is the base's water supply.

There are three stairwells leading up from the third floor to the second floor.
