Message in a Bottle:Biofabricator

Biofabricators are in many ways similar to fabricators, except that biofabricators construct bio sleeves—bodies to house neuro imprints—rather than inorganic materials.

Each biofabricator is large enough to house an adult human body, plus the necessary machinery to manufacture said body. The body is grown from the inside outwards over the course of several weeks, suspended in a special fluid which both supports it and, once necessary, provides nutrients. The biofabricator does not have a window to view the process directly, though there are cameras inside through which Forerunner can monitor the process, and others can tap into this camera feed from the control interface on the side of the biofabricator, which normally displays the machine's status and identifying details of the neuro imprint being used for the body inside.

When fabrication is complete, the suspension fluid is drained through the floor, and Forerunner administers a simple cognitive exam within the biofabricator unit to ensure the imprint implanted into the bio sleeve is functioning properly. If Forerunner determines that there is a fault with the imprint or its implantation process, the bio sleeve will be "recycled".

Presuming all goes well, the biofabricator will open and release the new crew member to their new home and duties.
